Madagascar, officially the Republic of Madagascar, is an island state located in the Indian Ocean, off the east coast of Africa opposite Mozambique. The capital is Antananarivo

Part of an archipelago that includes a dozen islets, is a territirio full of places to scroprire, rich in natural resources and particularly varied in terms of the types of excursions that really reserves to every type of traveller. Natural habitat of thousands of animal species, such as lemurs, that are not found anywhere else in the world is characterized by the presence of rainforests, beaches and coral reefs.

Among the most evocative places of Madagascar there is surely its capital Antananarivo, pure concentration of history, tradition and culture, with its royal palace. Not least the city of Antsiranana with the second largest bay in the world, where you can admire beautiful coves on whose sands you can simply relax or even practice snorkeling and diving.

Among the most famous and most popular seaside resorts in the whole territory of Madagascar, however, there is undoubtedly the island of Nosy Be, located at the head of the archipelago of the same name near the north coast of the country.

full of pure white beaches surrounded, however, also by a vast and uncontaminated vegetation that, together with the emerald water of the sea that bathes the coast, contribute to form a landscape definitely a dream.

The most commonly used means of transport are medium-sized buses and minibuses called taxi brousse (taxi of the forest), but for some years there have been private transport companies which on certain routes offer large extra-urban buses that are a little more comfortable than taxi bushes.

The climate of Madagascar is tropical, but varies from location to location. The eastern side, due to exposure to monsoon flows, is very rainy and is often also hit by cyclones. The climate is subdesertic in the western and southern parts. The temperatures are high all year round, they decrease only by climbing the highlands and mountains. On the central plateau the climate is hot in summer and cold in winter, even in the coldest months are frequent snowfalls over 2000 m. The rains are concentrated during the southern summer which lasts from November to March while in the south of the country the rains are rare.
